Baked Tofu

 


You would be quite surprised how tasty this is. Tofu with cheese on top, I know this might be unusual to see, but trust me because this was really delicious. Sometimes I want to make one thing and end up making something completely different. This recipe actually came out of a pure experiment. I made it back in 2020 Bake Tofu that time I wrote in Bahasa Indonesia. It is super easy & quick to prepare. You can have it with rice or mashed potato as we had tonight.

 BAKED TOFU

4 white tofu, mash using a fork
Sausage (can be bacon, corned beef or shredded chicken)
3 spring onions, finely sliced
1 onion, finely sliced
3 red onions, finely sliced
1 carrot, cut into cubes
1 piece of corn, shelled
Salt and pepper to taste
1 egg, beaten well
Cheese for sprinkling (I used parmesan)

  1. Reheat oven to 175°C.
  2. Mix all ingredients except eggs and cheese. Correct the taste if necessary by adding salt or seasonings.
  3. Add the beaten egg to the tofu mixture. Stir well. Pour into a baking dish and sprinkle with cheese.
  4. Bake for approximately 40 minutes depending on your oven. Serve warm with chili sauce or just like that.
